GRATITUDE EXERCISE

It doesn’t cost a thing and it makes everybody feel good! Whether you live alone, with kids or a partner, make sure you tell them one or two things that you love about them. The best time for this is anytime of course, or morning and evening, before or after bedtime, EVERY DAY. If you are alone, find a mirror: say it but make sure you mean it! We are always too busy criticising ourselves and others, which sets the tone for heavy and negative energy. Think about all the things you disapprove of yourself and other just for a second… see what I mean?!

If you practice this even for a few weeks, you will start to see that you feel a lot better. Your children and/or partner too! Encourage them to do the same with you. This is simple, free and it really does make a difference. See you next month! With best wishes & gratitude

fruits-and-vegetables

This is the season more than ever for the delicious fruits & vegetables. As we all tend to eat acid forming in excess (meat, dairies, bread, beans and pulses, alcohol, etc) drinking a large glass of fruit & veg juice daily is a wonderful way to bring up your alkaline balance. Such juices are available in stores just about anywhere but if you would like to make your own for added freshness and vitamin content, here is a great recipe: it contains all the ingredients to keep your internal organs clean and regenerated, your skin blemish free & rejuvenated, your immune system in great shape and give you a great natural boost:

A large carrot, an apple, 3 sticks of celery, a third of a cucumber, half a lemon, an inch of fresh ginger and a clove of garlic all put through a juicer. Drink immediately (through a straw for those of you with receding gums) as the juice oxides rapidly. This should fill in a pint. Enjoy!

An old Irish custom is to not drink any alcohol for the whole month of November, not only does it help save your health by giving your liver a break, it also allows you to put money away for December and whatever you wish to buy… Make sure you drink your water every day, tap water is fine, let it sit in a jug with a quartz crytal for over an hour before drinking, this way the chlorine has time to evaporate and the water is re-charged with its natural and innate life giving properties. Cheers!

MAKE UP YOUR MIND! 

 

If you want to lose weight, or get into your ideal shape, or simply feel physically lighter, make up your mind FIRST. We live in a vibrational dimension where all things are possible once they are thought of first. Anything you see or feel was in thought-form first… So decide what you want, write it down and relax about it. As you already know, diets don’t work and are in fact life-threatening as your body has to cope with extraneous adjustments.

So here is the plan

1.     Be grateful for the body you have at present, however it looks to you, because regardless of what you have done to it, it is still serving you!

2.     Write down your goal.

3.     You may find the following saying useful: ‘I completely trust in my inner guidance to transform into the healthier me. I trust that, as my mind is fully made up, my feelings match that and I simply do not feel drawn to anything other than what benefits me and my health’. 

Ideas for exercises, movements and other health enhancing benefits will reveal themselves to you as inspiration and you will really want to do them.

A few months down the line, as you appreciate what you see in the mirror, you’ll just remember that you had a wish for better health. And when you try to think how you got here, you will realise that all you did was having fun doing things you enjoyed, eating beautiful food, basically enjoying your life even more! WOW, life is good and you are loving YOU!

Start to feel grateful for what blessings you have. Observe your thought process to recognise when you go into self-criticism mode, and make the switch to self-appreciation. Write a list of all the qualities you possess (there are many!) and of the things for which you feel true gratitude. Keep this close at hand and add to it anytime.

Learn to forgive yourself and others, and tell your loved one how much they matter to you and what is so special about them. You will feel renewed energy flowing into your life and begin to enjoy each day as it comes.

Smiling and laughing promote well being as it increases the production of ‘happy hormones’ (endorphins). Smile at your partner upon waking up, at your children, at yourself in the mirror. Treat yourself to something that makes you happy and gives you joy!
