This is the season more than ever for the delicious fruits & vegetables. As we all tend to eat acid forming in excess (meat, dairies, bread, beans and pulses, alcohol, etc) drinking a large glass of fruit & veg juice daily is a wonderful way to bring up your alkaline balance. Such juices are available in stores just about anywhere but if you would like to make your own for added freshness and vitamin content, here is a great recipe: it contains all the ingredients to keep your internal organs clean and regenerated, your skin blemish free & rejuvenated, your immune system in great shape and give you a great natural boost:

A large carrot, an apple, 3 sticks of celery, a third of a cucumber, half a lemon, an inch of fresh ginger and a clove of garlic all put through a juicer. Drink immediately (through a straw for those of you with receding gums) as the juice oxides rapidly. This should fill in a pint. Enjoy!
